Fri-Nally: A Weekend Getaway
Stockholm is unlike any city I've ever been to. From the high heels & riches of up town neighborhoods like Östermalm, to the hipster sneakers & vegan flee markets of down town Södermalm, it's amazing to see these two clashing lifestyles thrive together. Stockholm is a 3 hour train ride from Karlstad, so I've definitely taken advantage of seeing the city a few times. This time I had an extended weekend with my foreign girlfriends Lena and Emma, for which we bought tickets to the Dangerous Woman Tour back in February. As much as I wish I could deny it, I am an Ari fan. Her iconic ponytail & pipes definitely did the concert justice. Her belting voice is just as impressive in person compared to when it's soaring out of your car's speakers
As for us, the most dangerous event of the trip included walking late at night through Stockholm's back alleys in search of a Taco Bar-- what we do for enchiladas. We spent the weekend trying out new cafes, walking by the semi warm baltic sea & even peeking inside the Public Library. I'm a little bummed that this will be my last visit to this beautiful city for a while. Stockholm honestly rocks my world.
